One Map Concept is an interactive map aiming to unify the most common utilities such as traffic info, navigation, ADAS, parking, charging and many more by integrating them in a unique view. A set of map visualizations with dynamic level of details and information designed to adapt to every different scenario, context and user needs. The system is integrating all maps in one system, and the experience results in seamless and continuous views going from a 2D to 3D visualization. The system offers presets so as to provide cornerstones between all the views. These are characterized by different level of details of the road and surrounding objects.
In my role as the lead designer for this project, I was responsible for developing comprehensive storyboards for key use cases, facilitating effective communication with the client, and articulating detailed requirements for the 3D team. I maintained consistent dialogue with both the client and the 3D team to ensure that the quality of user scenarios and videos aligned with client expectations. Additionally, I engaged in hands-on visual design work for the interface elements.
Storyboarding
The initial phase of the project involved developing comprehensive storyboards for the selected use cases, with detailed key interactions, camera angle transitions, and overall scenarios. Following alignment with the client, these storyboards served as a crucial reference for the 3D designers during the video production process.
3D Video Production
The initial phase of 3D video production involved a comprehensive alignment with the client regarding the design of the 3D environment, ensuring it harmonized with the aesthetics and visual style of Harmony OS. Following this alignment, I provided a detailed breakdown of the scenarios to the 3D team, overseeing the entire production process. I maintained consistent communication with the team, offering regular feedback and ensuring that all interactions functioned as intended.
